The UBC Sailing Club room is located on the ground floor of the Jericho Sailing Centre, in the middle of the building.

Our "Sunset" room, in the Hangar at the far west end of the building, is used for Office Hours and repairs.

Getting to UBC Sailing Club:

To reach the Jericho Sailing Centre (JSC) by public transit, the #4 bus stops at the corner of 4th Avenue and NW Marine Drive, a 5 minute walk away.  Also, the C19 shuttle travels from UBC to Alma St. and West Broadway every hour. The closest stop to JSC is at the intersection of Marine Drive NW and Trimble Street.

For those who drive, there is plenty of pay parking directly at JSC.

Cycling is a favourite means to get to JSC as we are located directly on the Seaside Bike Route.

Sarah Crome presides over all executive and general meetings. Being a member of all committees in the club, the Commodore is responsible for the successful operation of the Club. The Commodore is also the liaison between Jericho Sailing Association and the Club.

Jay Turcot will assume the duties of the Commodore in the case of prolonged absence of the Commodore. He is responsible for all issues related to membership including registration.

Chris McLeod is responsible for all club finances, keeping track of membership, and accurately keeping track where money is coming from and what it is being spent on.

Genevieve Gagne-Hawes is responsible for all Club correspondence, keeping minutes at all meetings, maintaining all records of the club and its activities, and arranging all bookings.

Lillian Zaremba is responsible for organizing all dinghy lessons for our members and oversees the instructors.

Ryan Wicks is responsible for Flying Junior, Laser and Vanguard sailing. He is also the contact for sailing proficiency exams if you are an experienced sailor who would like to sail these boats.

Kevin Wilder is responsible for club participation in dinghy racing at Jericho (Vanguards & Lasers).  He is also in charge of the club's high-performance monohulls: RS500s and 29ers.

Kris McFarlin is responsible for Hobie Cat lessons and gaining access to the Nacra F18s. 

Kaspar Russ is in charge of racing the Hobies and Nacras at local regattas and Jericho race nights.
