The UBC Sailing Club has been offering students and community members affordable access to sailboats and sailing instruction for over 50 years.

We have grown to become the largest not-for-profit sailing club in Canada with over 400 annual members and 60 watercrafts. Our sailing lesson program has also become the largest and most affordable of its kind in Canada.

UBC Sailing Offers:

Unlimited access to sailboats, catamarans, kayaks and windsurfers for both students and non-students. Extensive and affordable lessons program. Fun and friendly environment like no other!

Annual Membershp

Year long membership offers unlimited access to our fleet of sailboats, windsurfers and kayaks for one low price.

• STUDENT (Registered at UBC): $97.35

• ASSOCIATE WITH STUDENT DISCOUNT (Full-time student at a university other than UBC with current student card and time table): $229.20 - $60 = 169.35

Jericho Membership:

Annual membership to Jericho Sailing Centre Association, home of the club.  Provides access to hot showers, members' lounge, restaurant discounts, rooftop deck, races and the best safety and rescue service in English Bay.  Mandatory for all members of UBC Sailing Club.   

• SINGLE: $97.35

• FAMILY (for couples that reside at the same address): $139.65

Refundable Deposits

• WORK DEPOSIT: $80.  This mandatory deposit is refunded to members who complete a total of eight hours of volunteer work over the term of their membership. 

• HIGH WIND DEPOSIT: $100.  This optional deposit is for high wind windsurfing members to access this specific equiptment.
