Beginner Sailing (Weekdays & Weekend)

If you have never been on a boat before or you have, but are unsure of your skills, this is the place to start. The aim of this class is to give you access to our double-handed beginner boat, the RS Quest. The instructor will take you from basic theory to out on the water over the duration of this course. It is meant to be a fun and exciting journey.

Before registering, pay close attention to the prerequisites, passing criteria, and how to prepare.

Please come ~15 minutes early on day 2 onwards to change and rig the boats before class begins. If you are unsure if this is the right class for you, feel free to contact our head instructor at headinstructor@ubcsailing.org.

This class is contingent on instructor availability. If instructors are unavailable to teach this course, students will be notified and refunded.
